The story
I’ve been a developer for 14 years. I helped agencies and startups build the tools their customers love. Somewhere along the way, I realized the tools I needed — as a creator, as a job seeker, as a small business owner — were either ridiculously expensive or built by teams that didn’t really get it.
So I started building them myself. LinkinUp because I was tired of Linktree’s $24 tier. ATSResu.me because I watched smart people get filtered out by ATS systems they didn’t understand. Both built by one person, both priced to be accessible, both designed to actually work.
SGD Labs is what happens when a senior engineer stops billing hourly and starts shipping product.
What we stand for
Stands for
- +Affordable pricing as a feature
- +Solo-founder velocity and judgment
- +Shipping over speculating
- +Plain language in product and marketing
- +Black presence in STEM as an outcome
Stands against
- –Bloated platforms that do 50 things badly
- –VC land-grab pricing (cheap until they raise)
- –Dark patterns (auto-renew traps)
- –Performative DEI messaging
- –“AI-powered” as a marketing crutch
Mission, stated plainly
Black founders shipping real, profitable software is the loudest possible statement. Quietly mission-driven — built in Southeast Queens — not a banner. The work carries it.
